A Safe Space

I'm not blind to whats going on in the world, in fact i'm active within certain communities to try and create a better community for us all. Being LGBTQ and suffering from mental health issues i've found myself constantly battling for equality and trying to eradicate stigmas attached to both.

However i wanted to make clear that no matter your sexuality, mental health status, religion, gender, culturual background i am here for anyone who finds them self falling victim to injustice, i'm here for the people who don't have friends or family supporting them.

My blog and all my social medias are and will always be a safe space for anyone who needs it. A place with no judgement, just someone here to listen if you need it.

I know this is a short post however i just wanted to make everyone aware that if you're ever feeling alone or you're going through something and don't feel you can talk to people around you, i'm here

You can contact me through both my instagram and (or) my twitter.

You can also contact me via email if you feel more comfortable doing so -

Please remember, you're never alone and there's always someone there. Even if you just need a rant; i'm there.

Sending you all so much love and all my positive thoughts & energy.

My Sexuality...

This isn't a coming out post, i've been out for a number of years. This is a post to explain a little more to readers of my blog who might not be one hundred percent sure of my sexuality, not that its anyone elses business but i am extremely open about everything on here so i thought i'd clear a few things up.

I'm not a massive fan of labels however to make things easier for everyone else i guess if i had to label my sexuality it would be pansexual. No that doesn't mean i'm attracted to pans, i've heard that joke so many times it bores me now and i personally do find it pretty ignorant.

(Taken from

For the longest time since realising i wasn't attracted to just cis males i labelled myself as bisexual however in recent years i've discovered the term pansexual and i felt it fit me a lot more than bisexual did.

I told my mum i liked girls when i was thirteen and she wasn't the slighest bit surprised. She told me she already knew. As i got older i realised i would be open to dating people who don't just fit into the cis male, cis female catagory. I genuinely don't care who someone is, what their religion, gender, cultural background, job as long we get on and we're attracted to each other then that's all that matters to me.

In high school i fell victim to bullying due to my sexuality (amongst many other stupid things) however i had such a strong and supportive network of friends and family around me that it did make it a lot easier for me to stand up for myself and to the bullies. I understand that sadly not everyone has that network that stands behind them; so i have been extremely lucky and i never take that for granted.

I'm incredibly thankful & grateful for the people around me who made and continue to make my journey as a pansexual woman the easiest it could possibly be. Whilst we are a progressive society and being part of the lgbtq+ community is becoming more and more expcepted, predjudice and homophobia is still a huge issue and is present; we all need to make more of an effort to normalise it, just because something isn't how it 'should be' it doesn't mean it's wrong.

People have been experiencing sexual attraction to the same sex and more since forever so it's not something new that needs to be slowly introduced into society. People need to be educated, no one is born homophobic; it's a learned behaviour from the enviornment they grew up in and i will give everyone a chance to educate themselves and change the train of thought. However what i won't sit back and watch is people who remain ignorant and aren't open to being inclusive of everyone. Its just ignorance and in todays day in age there should be no place for it.

Being On The Depo Injection

I've seen a few people do a post regarding this topic, so i decided to share my own experience because i think the more opinions there is out there, the better it is for people when deciding wether to try it or not.

I first went on the depo injection in 2014; my reasoning behind it wasn't actually for contraception at all. I started my period when i had just turned twelve; in fact it was the day after my twelfth birthday, i remember it so vividly.

My periods were hell for me and i found myself dreading it every month. I had very heavy periods so i used to be extremely tired whilst on mine due to loosing a lot of blood, i would go extremely pale. The cramps, oh my god the cramps were awful, i legit felt like someone was either stabbing me in my pelvic area or that something was inside my stomach trying to claw its way out. I've suffered from migraines since being a young child and during my time of the month i would get between three and four within the week or so i was on my period. It got to the point where i was being sent home from school because i was so poorly.

I decided to get myself the pill, as soon as i possibly could and for a while it helped, i still had periods but they were pretty irregular and when i did get them they were no where near as bad as what they had been previously. However eventually it stopped working for me and my horrendous periods were back and out in full force.

I spoke to my mum about it a lot and she suggested i went onto the injection having been on it a number of years herself and having no issues with it. So i did and i've never looked back. I didn't gain weight which is a side effect of having, which obviously was a bonus. I stopped having it for a while due to a personal issue which wasn't related to having the injection however i had to have a break from it.

In 2016 i went back onto the depo and this time around i did have a few issues with it. I bled for a full month on and off, only lightly however it was a bit annoying of course, no one wants to be bleeding for that long. I spoke to the nurse at my gp surgery regarding the issue and she asked me if i minded leaving it until i was next due for my injection to see if the bleeding had settled down; i agreed as although i was bleeding i wasn't cramping or having any other issues and it did eventually stop thank god.

We aren't sure why i had this issue this time around, it can effect you differently at different times. Everyone is different and it can help some and not others; however i would highly recommend it to anyone who has bad periods, there definitely is no harm in trying.

Whilst i don't necessarily use it for it's intended purpose of contraception i do think it's one of the easiest methods, as you have it every three months, so you are protected from pregnancy for three months, then you just get yourself down to your doctor and have it done again. Please do also use condoms. Whilst it protects you from unwanted pregnancies it doesn't protect you from STDs. So using condoms is a must, unless you are in a long term relationship and you know that you're both free from any sort of infections.

I hope this has been helpful.

Have any of you been on the depo before, or are you still on it? I'd be interested to hear your experiences!

Technic Cosmetics

I've become so obsessed with Technic. I have a small collections of products from them but i do know with one hundred percent certainty that my collection will only grow.

The first item i ever bought of theirs, which i have repurchased numerous times is the Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder. It's extremely affordable at just £3 and the quality of product you get for the price is absolutely amazing. It's definitely my go to highlighter.

The next item is the soft focus transparent loose powder. I use this powder to set my concealer and foundation, or to 'bake'. I think i paid £4 for this; i know it wasn't a lot but i can't put a definite price on it.

I recently purchased the ultimate brow kit as i had ran out of my usual one and pay day was too far away. I paid £2.49 for this and i'm incredibly impressed. I do think i may switch over from my usual brow product to this permenantly.

I usually use a eyeliner pen for my lids and will continue to do so however i was looking for a decent pencil liner for my under eye. So i picked this eyeliner up for only £2.00, i have yet to use it however i have heard good things about it.

The Get Lashed mascara is something i've been loving a lot lately. I don't do a full face every day however i do use mascara pretty much every day, because i genuinely do feel that it makes a huge difference. I love the brush on this mascara and it really does make my lashes look amazing, i don't have very long or promenant lashes, but this makes a huge difference. It literally cost me the small price of £3.

The define and highlight palette is something that i've only purchased recently however i do think i'll be repurchasing it. I usually use the shade & light palette by Kat Von D, however i saw this and thought i'd test it, as it's only £3 and i'm always all about saving money where i can. I still use the kat von d palette but i have also been using this too as i like to mix up what i use sometimes.

I'll be honest i bought the bronzing eyeshadows palette because it looked aesthetically pleasing. How cute and simple is this packaging? I haven't done a look with these shadows yet however i have swatched it and i was so impressed with it. I will soon do a whole review post on the palette once i've used it. Oh and FYI it was only £3.50.

All in all i highly recommend Technic Cosmetics. I'm not one who needs all high end makeup and if i find something i love wether its high end or drug store i will use it and repurchase it. I think technic is a great brand for someone who's wanting to grow their collection but doesn't necessarily have the budget to go out and buy all high end products.

Have you tried any of these products or anything else from Technic, what's your opinion?

Travel Bucket List

When i'm in a good place financially there is a few places that i want to see around the world.

Tokyo, Japan.

I don't know what it is about Tokyo, but i've always been facinated by it as a place. I genuinely am as in love as i can be without visiting it. I can't wait to one day finally be able to visit and exprience it for myself.

Dubai, UAE.

Somewhere i've always wanted to go is Dubai. I think it's such a beautiful place and i would love to visit and experience and learn about their culture. I know there's a lot of bad things get said about the way they live but we do have to respect that its their culture and their way of life.

Taylor, US.

I've never thought about this place before until i started speaking to my friend Nicole. Shes slowly become one of my best friends, in the whole world and i would love to be able to one day go and visit her and her sister.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia.

I've been obsessed with this place for such a long time and i just love the idea of being in a hut on the sea and being away from every day life. Just being able to completely switch off and ignore anything that's going on in the outside world.

Transylvania, Romania.

I'm sure you've all heard of 'Dracula' he's become part of horror's legacy and although he's a completely ficitional character he was loosely based on someone. Vlad The Imapler (and or known as) Vlad Dracula who was a 15th Century prince. I did a lot of research into him and also watched the Ghost Adventures episode where they visited Transylvania and whilst he is my main reasoning behind wanting to go and to find out a little more about his history and where he lived i do think the place itself is beautiful and holds a history of its own that i'd love to learn about.

Whilst i know eventually more things will be added to my travel bucket list for now these are the places i want to visit.

Have you been to any of these places? What's on your travel bucket list?

My Favourite Films Of All Time

I enjoy watching films a lot, especially re watching ones that I love. There's so many that I reach for when I feel like I need something I enjoy.

I have been obsessed with the scream franchise for many years. I think I was about ten or eleven when I watched it for the first time, unknown to my mother (lol). I love a good a slasher / thriller. I wouldn't really class the scream films as horror as such but it's definitely in that 'scary' genre, i mean none of us want some crazy ass in a mask stalking us and murdering our friends and family. Scream will definitely always be a classic, even though the fourth film was only released in 2011, i think they'll always be seen as classics. Wes Craven truly did play a huge role in the film industry and within the horror community and scream will always play a massive part in his legacy.

I don't often watch a lot of comedies however this film is honestly one of my favourite I've ever watched. I love the concept behind this, the whole parents reamarrying and then suddenly gaining a step sibling is something a lot of people can relate to however in this film, i love how they've showed the them as adults trying to adjust to their parents getting re married and their family explanding. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are hilarious on their own so having them both together works so well.

I don't think this really needs any reasoning behind it to be honest. You all know how amazing the series of films are. I've been obsessed with Harry Potter since the books and even more so when the films came out. It was a huge part of my childhood and always will be part of my life.

I had to watch this in school for English and i fell in love with it as soon as i first watched it. I think it's such a good modernized version of a classic. Romeo & Julie has always been one of my favourite plays and books. DiCaprio of course is amazing in it, as he always is in every film he's in. I'm sure you all know the story of Romeo & Juliet so i won't go into too much detail. But what i will say is if you haven't watched it you definitely should.

I have a love for anything vampire related and with this being an 80's classic of course it had to feature in this post. I think I've rewatched this film about one hundred times. I can't get enough of it and i don't think i'll ever get bored of it. I also found my younger self with a massive crush on Corey Haim.

I grew up watching these films and have been totally obsessed ever since i first ever watched them. I think the off screen relationship between Vin and Paul really helps with their relationship within the film. Don't even get me started on the death of Paul Walker, it broke my heart. Fast and Furious definitely is a franchise which I'll never get bored.

What are some of your favourite films?

Mental Health: An Update

I've been feeling really out of sorts lately. I don't know wether it's because of the increased volume of work i've been doing but that seems like a likely cause.

My anxiety tends to be a lot worse when i'm tired and i've been so exhausted lately, life has just gotten on top of me. I had to take a mental health day a couple of weeks back and i took the day off work. I was extremely overwhelmed and i just had a massive break down and couldn't physically get myself out of bed to go to work.

Anxiety is a funny old thing, it strikes whenever it wants, wether theres reasons to be anxious or not, it loves to rear its ugly head whenever and wherever it chooses.

I've felt for a while that my tablets haven't really been helping anymore but i've yet to go and see my doctor. I know i should do but i just don't have the time at the moment. At the moment i'm taking sertraline, i'm sure a lot of you will have heard of it, it's an anti depressant which is also used to treat anxiety as well. The annoying thing about my body is it gets used to medications too quickly so they just stop working i guess.

I have been thinking about asking for some more counselling sessions. I did receive some CBT sessions which if you're unaware of what that is, it's cognital behavioural therapy and they did help a lot, however that was mainly anxiety focussed and my sessions were built around trying to tackle that, i do feel that i need some other form of counselling to help me along further; something that is more broad and will also help with my depression.

With work being so busy i haven't really had time to unwind at the end of the day and to clear my mind and it's becoming a huge struggle to balance my work life, social life and to focus on trying to improve my mental health.

I know my mental health should come first before anything else but i also need to earn money too. If any of you have any advice for me on how to balance everything and to stay on top of making sure my mental health is improving i would hugely appreciate you messaging me or leaving a comment.

I hope you all have a lovely week.
