Mental Health: An Update 

I've been feeling really out of sorts lately. I don't know wether it's because of the increased volume of work i've been doing but that seems like a likely cause.



My anxiety tends to be a lot worse when i'm tired and i've been so exhausted lately, life has just gotten on top of me. I had to take a mental health day a couple of weeks back and i took the day off work. I was extremely overwhelmed and i just had a massive break down and couldn't physically get myself out of bed to go to work.

Anxiety is a funny old thing, it strikes whenever it wants, wether theres reasons to be anxious or not, it loves to rear its ugly head whenever and wherever it chooses.

I've felt for a while that my tablets haven't really been helping anymore but i've yet to go and see my doctor. I know i should do but i just don't have the time at the moment. At the moment i'm taking sertraline, i'm sure a lot of you will have heard of it, it's an anti depressant which is also used to treat anxiety as well. The annoying thing about my body is it gets used to medications too quickly so they just stop working i guess.

I have been thinking about asking for some more counselling sessions. I did receive some CBT sessions which if you're unaware of what that is, it's cognital behavioural therapy and they did help a lot, however that was mainly anxiety focussed and my sessions were built around trying to tackle that, i do feel that i need some other form of counselling to help me along further; something that is more broad and will also help with my depression.



With work being so busy i haven't really had time to unwind at the end of the day and to clear my mind and it's becoming a huge struggle to balance my work life, social life and to focus on trying to improve my mental health.

I know my mental health should come first before anything else but i also need to earn money too. If any of you have any advice for me on how to balance everything and to stay on top of making sure my mental health is improving i would hugely appreciate you messaging me or leaving a comment.
