2017: Rewind

This year has been great but also incredibly hard. I’ve experienced some amazing things but i’ve also been battling with my mental health which seems to have been the worst it ever has before this year.
I got to see some of my favourite artists live. I feel like gig’s wise i’ve had such a good year. Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, Bryson Tiller, Stormzy, Bugzy Malone & Little Mix (again). All where as amazing as i imagined they would be.

One of the highlights of my year was meeting my girls. At the beginning of the year we all ended up being in the same blogging group chat together and our friendships blossomed from there. Laura was kind enough to host us at her home for the weekend in September and i’m so thankful to her for doing so as it definitely was one of the best weekends i’ve ever had. I genuinely feel that i have made some friends for life; its not just a blogging group chat anymore it’s a group of friends who share their problems and offer advice, share their achievements and just general chit chat. I love you girls, lots.

I took this year to focus on myself, i put dating aside and you know what, i feel amazing for it. Although my mental health hasn’t been great this year i’ve found that being single i’ve managed to work on it easier and i’ve made some huge progress with being able to control it.
I passed the first module of my degree this year which is a massive academic achievement for me. I’m not massively an academic person; i learn more from doing rather than reading so when i found out i’d passed i was so happy.

As part of the LGBTQ community, Manchester pride is always one of my favourite times of year. This year i got to celebrate and share that experience with my best friend and godson.

I officially become godmother to my cousins gorgeous little boy and i still feel so humbled and happy that she chose me as his godmother. He is the most gorgeous little monkey in the whole world and i am so blessed to have not only him but also his amazing mum and dad in my life.
I’ve spent a lot more time on my blog this year and have reached amazing achievements because of this. My blog is currently at over 19k views which to me seems unreal, how can people have read my blog that many times? I am hugely grateful though. It’s a nice feeling knowing that what you put out there is interesting to others.
There’s been so many great things happen this year and despite going through my own personal battles i can honestly say i’ve had such an incredible year.
What are some of your favourite moments from 2017?!
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas & New Year!
Lots of love to you all
